Well, this is the day! I can't believe it's finally here. November 4th, the day we all get to do what we've been talking about for months, vote.
"Who did you vote for?" is the most popular question asked. I, of course, had to ask it to a few of the people I know. One person's answer astounded me. She said that she is republican, but voted independent. "Why?" was my question for her, to which her response was that she was scared to vote for McCain. She was scared because she didn't know what people would think. As a matter of fact, she's even scared to say that she is a Republican. It made me sick to my stomach. Not that someone is scared to say they are republican, but that being a republican is so shunned today, people have to hide it!
Here is what's so funny about all this. Democrats are the ones that generally have a relativist thinking, but yet are so "not accepting" that they make Republicans hide there beliefs. I for one, will never hide my political stance from anyone! So, the next time someone tells you "I'm an Obama fan," don't be scared to say "I'm a McCain fan."
