Guns do what?

I read a great quote the other day: "If guns kill people, can I blame misspelled words on my pencil?" This is so true! Whatever misguided fool who said guns kill people, should have his brain scanned.

Have you ever heard a murderer, as crazy as they may be sometimes, exclaim the gun was the one that did the killing? Of course not, because for him to do that, he would also be taking the insanity plea.

So you've got this gun lying on the table, just sitting there complacently. He's been your friend for quite some time now, going to the shooting range ever so often or going with you when you hear a strange noise at night, but it's been a while since he's been handled. He begins feeling lonely. No one to clean him when he gets dirty or oil him when he's used too much. So one day, he gets tired of feeling unused and decides to take it out on you. First, he gets off the counter and comes after you with that sick and twisted handle and those six bullets of doom. He shoots you once in the arm before the police arrive and stop the mayhem. It was a tragic day when a lonely gun went from being the one you could always count on to hit the target, to being the one that thought you were the target.

How crazy does that sound? That's exactly how I think when people want to use that logic to stop our second amendment rights. So if you think the same as me and want to uphold our constitutional right, but don't know how to help, then please join the NRA today.

  1. I've been around guns and have handled them safely every since I was four years old. Never injured, nor have any of my friends been injured.

  2. Okay. Guess you haven't heard of the District of Columbia v. Heller case. It struck down a DC gun law as unconstitutional and determined that hand guns cannot be banned in DC. What that means is that the Supreme Court held up the second amendment saying that some gun laws could be deemed unconstitutional.

  3. Oh and the NRA actually got in the way more than it helped with the District of Columbia case. You would be better off joining Cato.org since one of their senior advisers helped pull off the win for upholding the second amendment.
